Our friend Janice is an avid sea kayaker. She had gone on this trip a couple of times before, and several months ago suggested that we (our group of ski "bums") go with her in March of 2008. Since it was a catered trip (some camping, but BOA does the cooking), I thought that it sounded fun. Before she knew it, she had 15 people on the list, ensuring that the whole group would be people we knew. Even better!
So in an uncharacteristic move for me (to go somewhere warm during ski season), we arrived in La Paz on March 1.
